Our Cuisine

Madre Osteria & Bar, a Tuscan style Italian restaurant dedicated to the sincere appreciation of locally-sourced fresh meats and produce, is steeped in the age-old traditions of Italy’s rural regions, paired with the incomparable heritage of their local Italian wines.  We love the Italian concept of cucina povera or “poor cooking”,  a concept of simplicity at its core.  A cuisine that doesn’t use complicated seasonings or elaborate creations simply because they’re not needed, instead it’s made using fresh, high-quality ingredients that bring out the natural flavors in each dish, to their fullest.

Our goal is simple: to keep to the traditions of honoring their local markets and farms from one season to the next in search of the best ingredients to serve at our table.  We believe our menu offerings, coupled with an extensive Italian wine selection, is sure to bring the experience of rural Italy home here, to Milton, MA.  Our kids menu, available upon request, will also help to satisfy our younger guests.

If you are looking for a "can't miss" Italian brunch experience, join us each Sunday from 11:30 am - 3 pm.  Experience additional selections such as our Cinnamon Sugar Focaccia and Porchetta Hash paired possibly with a tasty mimosa or our popular, Brunch Negroni cocktail.
